In light of Andy Murray's successful weekend at the ATP finals, we've been researching inspiration for your very own tennis wedding theme.
1. The Venue
Perhaps the most obvious way to honour your love of tennis on your wedding day is by choosing Andy Murray's very own wedding venue, Cromlix. This stunning wedding venue is owned by the tennis star, and you'll often find him enjoying a game on the tennis courts here. The sporting superstar also celebrated his own wedding reception to Kym Sears at Cromlix, taking advantage of the beautiful grounds with a marquee wedding reception.
2. Venue decoration
Show your guests your love of tennis through your venue décor. One of the best tennis wedding decoration ideas that we found was hanging green spherical lanterns from the ceiling, not to mention all of the tennis racket decoration inspiration!
3. Centrepieces
A really easy way to show off your tennis wedding theme is through your centrepieces. Go DIY - grab some tennis balls and get creative. You could even use tennis balls for your place cards for a really fun effect.
4. Food
Give your catering a real Wimbledon theme by going for lots of strawberries, cream and Pimms! If you're having a dessert table, you could even decorate your mini desserts - we love these tennis ball macaroons!
5. Photographs
It's always important to discuss your theme with your wedding photographer beforehand, and ask if they'd like you to bring any props. If you're having a tennis themed wedding, using tennis balls and rackets for photographs will give your portraits a really fun feel.
6. Stationery
Another great way to introduce your tennis wedding theme is through your stationery. Have your invitations designed around tennis and if you're using signs or boards throughout the day, including some tennis details. Click here to search for fabulous stationery suppliers.
7. Guest book
We love the idea of having your guests sign tennis balls for your guest book! For more alternative guest book ideas, check out our blog post.
