Saltcote Place Wedding Venue

Beautiful surroundings and hosts warming and very welcoming. Wedding there was easy going, with food delicious and hospitality excellent. Would really recommend for any celebration, views amazing.

What can I say about Saltcote Place, our hosts Paul and Alan are wonderful. We stayed at Saltcote Place for our Wedding over the weekend from Friday 17th September to Sunday 19th September 2021 and it was amazing. This was after two postponements due to Covid!! Paul and Alan made each transition smooth and easy even if we were frustrated!! The wedding weekend at Saltcote Place was amazing, each room has the most beautiful decor and are simply stunning. The house itself has the most amazing manicured gardens and the flowers in the gardens are beautiful and kept so well, you can tell that Paul and Alan have an immense pride in their beautiful home they share with others. Paul and Alan made sure that our Wedding, with the marquee being put up in their gardens and the caterers arriving at their various times all went as smooth as silk. It was truly a magnificient weekend. We will remember our wedding for the rest of our lives and this is due to the time and committment made by Paul and Alan in their gorgeous home, Saltcote Place. I am waiting for Mike our photographer to provide us with the photos but there will be some amazing pictures of our Wedding and will post a couple when I can. What a weekend, what a venue and what a couple to make it so memorable for us. Thank you :-)

Saltcote Place literally saved our day!!!! And, has been one of the most amazing experiences of our lives. We were originally meant to get married at the George in Rye on 21st July 2019 but due to the unfortunate fire that took place in the early hours - our wedding got called off!!! You can only imagine our disappointment and when we thought there was absolutely no hope of our wedding going ahead, an angel appeared, Paul the owner of Saltcote Place and agreed to host our wedding! We dried our tears, got our glad rags on and told our very disappointed guests that our wedding was ‘back on’!!! What an amazing couple, Paul and Alan of Saltcote Place are. We would like to thank them for their kindness, calmness and generosity of opening up their home to host our wedding. What an amazing setting Saltcote Place is!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better venue with such gorgeous views of the Sussex downs and great staff! The place is just magical. Both the interior and exterior are breath-taking. Ps: Alan your breakfast is to die for and big kiss to Auntie Shirley too.Thank u so so so much for making our dream wedding come true through your kindness! This is an experience that I fully recommend - if you want to stay somewhere truly special and be pampered and spoilt.......Saltcote Place is the venue where dreams come true!!

Saltcote Place is such a magnificent venue to hold any event BUT was made especially memorable for us for our Wedding weekend. The majority of our guests have already written their revues and commented on the exceptional level of hospitality and professionalism of the staff and venue setting. So we would just like to add our thanks to Paul and Alan (the owners of Saltcote) for their fantastic attention to detail and total commitment. Truly wonderful weekend at this beautiful turn-of-the-century property so lovingly restored to it's former glory by current owners, Paul and Alan, the most congenial of hosts. Suites were spacious and exquisitely furnished. Our weekend started on the Friday afternoon with drinks on the terrace overlooking the Romney Marsh and followed by a sumptuous Black Tie Dinner in the evening. On Saturday, the hosts excelled themselves with absolutely nothing being too much trouble, they truly wanted their guests to have the most magical of weekends. Breakfast on Saturday was the Full English, with the alternative smaller half English being possibly the best option for those of us with a good appetite rather than a ravenous one. The wedding went off without a hitch with both hosts on hand to provide the tissues for those shedding tears of joy. The wedding breakfast (lunch) was delightful and very professionally presented with entertainment, later in the evening, with Alan singing and performing in Bling Crosbies mode with is singing duet partner, Ellie, much fun and very entertaining. Finishing off with a great firework display, it really was a magical wedding and weekend. Before departure on Sunday morning we enjoyed breakfast, Half English this time, for which 'Aunt' Shirley deserves the credit. Highly recommended

The wonderful Paul and Alan saved the day after my best friends wedding was cancelled the day before due to a fire. They stepped in and offered their stunning home. They are amazing! It was perfect. The setting was idyllic. Paul and Alan couldn’t do enough for everyone. After the total devastation of the fire, the boys were calm and made a tragedy into a romantic fairytale. The house is out of this world, beautifully manicured and immaculately decorated. Look no further for a wedding venue. They will make your dreams come true.

“Wedding Perfection" We held our wedding on 25th October. We agreed, as did all our guests, that the whole celebration simply could not have gone any better. Paul and Alan make this location quintessentially English and for us, unique. We cannot recommend this beautiful location highly enough. We were simply able to enjoy every single aspect of our day without any concerns. The living accommodation, bedrooms and bathrooms are luxurious and spacious and worked perfectly for our party over the wedding weekend. Nothing being too much trouble. My wife and I would happily recommend Saltcote Place to anyone considering a celebration to remember.”

“Wedding Reception Perfection" - We had our Wedding reception there on 29 November. We could not have chosen a better venue. We also stayed two nights with everything in your room you could wish for. The owners Paul & Alan made you feel so welcome and they even joined in. The food we had & the service we could not fault. The rooms were decorated to a very high standard and felt warm & cozy, the dining room, the lounge and we even had a disco room where Alan sang a few songs. We enjoyed ourselves so much and could not fault a thing and we would recommend Saltcote Place to anyone wanting an idyllic stay in Rye. Perhaps we should get divorced just to do it all over again.
