Our wedding venue and team have a number of accolades including winning the Wedding Ideas "Venue of the Year" award 3 times!

With a remarkable 30-year legacy in creating flawless weddings, the team at Leez Priory is dedicated to providing you with an unforgettable experience. Set amidst 40 acres of picturesque parkland, complete with lakes, manicured lawns, and a majestic driveway, Leez Priory sits serenely in the heart of the Essex countryside. Although it boasts an idyllic village location, it remains easily accessible, situated just 20 minutes away from Stansted Airport, 15 minutes from Chelmsford, and within reach of the M11 for a seamless journey by road, air, or rail.

Featuring a choice of seven licensed ceremony settings, Leez Priory offers you the opportunity to personalise your special day. The historic Tower and the charming Great Hall exude timeless character and charm, providing perfect venues for civil ceremonies. Alternatively, the magnificent house itself offers a splendid backdrop for outdoor wedding ceremonies on sunny days. Whatever your wedding dreams, Leez Priory is the ideal wedding venue to make your dreams come true as you exchange your vows.

The grandeur of the Great Hall is truly awe-inspiring, with seating available for up to 86 guests during the wedding breakfast. For larger parties of up to 110 guests, the recently converted Coach House offers a splendid space. As the entire house and grounds are exclusively yours, you have the freedom to invite up to 250 guests for the evening wedding reception and celebration. The wedding party can even enjoy the Fisherman's Cottage as their accommodation the night before the big day. This allows you to wake up revitalised and refreshed, ready to embark on your journey of a lifetime!

To complete your perfect day at Leez Priory, you will have access to 15 exquisite bedrooms, providing luxurious accommodation. These rooms offer the perfect retreat, ensuring a peaceful end to your special day.

Yes, you absolutely can! We only ever host one wedding per day at Leez Priory. You'll have exclusive access from midday on your wedding day.

Yes, we have a number of rooms at Leez Priory that are licensed for civil ceremonies.

Yes, we have a beautiful outdoor ceremony space here at Leez Priory where you and your partner can tie the knot with the main house as the backdrop.

All drinks are supplied by our in house bar. If you have a specific tipple in mind, please do let us know. We are able to source most of the drinks you desire.

Suppliers can have access to the venue from 11am on the day of your wedding.

Yes, we love fireworks and think they are a fabulous addition to any wedding celebration at Leez Priory. For insurance reasons, you are required to use our preferred supplier, Dynamic Fireworks, for this moment.

Of course, you are more than welcome to bring your own decor. As a Grade I listed venue, please don’t bring any pins or nails, or anything that may damage the panelling or walls.
