Within a broader weddings programme that includes access to registrar services at Lambeth Town Hall, Assembly Hall functions as a flexible event space where reception layouts can be shaped to suit the size and style of a couple’s celebration.
Reception packages cover the hire of the hall itself along with a set of standard furniture — including round tables, trestles, posers and chairs, and are structured to include preparatory time for setting up the space before guests arrive. On Friday and Saturday evenings there is the option to extend the hire period, allowing bars to remain open later and entertainment to continue until the early hours, with staff present throughout. Security and a duty manager form part of the staffing arrangements that accompany venue hire.
The venue works with couples and their chosen suppliers for catering and additional services that sit outside the core package. An enclosed courtyard space can be added to reception arrangements when desired, and a post-event reset service is available so that decoration take-down and clearing the hall can be managed for the following day. Lambeth Assembly Hall is at one side of the Town Hall, so everyone hiring this hall will benefit from exclusive hire of this space. Our Courtyard is only available for exclusive hire on a weekend.
Lambeth Town Hall has a ceremonies team who manage the ceremonies within the Town Hall.
We can accommodate Al Fresco dining or a drinks reception in the Courtyard.
No corkage charge.
We work with a list of recommended suppliers, however if you would like to use your own, that's fine we will just require some documents that we would need to submit for approval.
From 10am! Earlier Access can be granted at an additional charge.
Monday - Thursday your reception will need to finish by 23:00. Friday - Saturday your reception can go until 2:00. Sunday your reception will need to finish by 23:00.
We ask that all entertainment is kept below 90DB.
