When Celebrate with Rachel Louise started planning this stunning chateau shoot, they wanted to create a gallery of picturesque options to inspire nearlyweds with a love of fairy tales, fantasy and nature with a colour palette complimentary to the Pantone 2024 colour of the year – peach fuzz.

Within the grounds of Chateau Vary lies the main chateau, also known as the Castle, which has 8 bedrooms and 3 cottages that can accommodate 17 people. Close to Angers, the chateau is like something out of a fairy tale. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the food is delicious. You'll want to move in permanently!
The 15 acres of grounds have so much to offer including two swimming pools, a pétanque court, a ping-pong table and forest trails. The owners themselves got married there in 1986. Paul and Bénédicte welcome you to live an unforgettable experience in the most magical setting possible.

Each supplier brought with them an enormous amount of creativity and turned Chateau Vary into a wedding wonderland. Every element of the shoot was meticulously planned and executed, from the floral arrangements to the table settings, ensuring a cohesive and visually stunning result. It was a true testament to the power of teamwork in bringing a vision to life.
Two distinct wedding setups were created: one within the nearby forest and the other on an elegant balcony overlooking the chateau grounds themselves. With two distinct ceremony setups, this shoot provides diverse inspiration for couples.
The day began with intimate getting ready moments, capturing the excitement and anticipation of the bride and groom. These candid shots highlight the personal touches and emotions that make a wedding day truly special.
The first ceremony was set on the balcony with sweeping views of the chateau grounds. The bride wore an off the shoulder mermaid silhouette dress which was complimented by the hair and makeup design by Holly Anderson. The setup featured an elegant floral arch of peach, blue and white flowers with luscious greenery, an assortment of candles, and the soft glow of the afternoon sun, creating a truly romantic setting.
The second ceremony took place in the forest, the natural beauty of the area created an enchanting atmosphere. The bride wore a beautifully detailed ballgown for this ceremony, the skirt floating over the forest floor to create that magical feel.
The dining room was transformed into a luxurious wedding breakfast space, complete with a beautifully set sweetheart table featuring modern place settings, pinks and blues within the candles, centrepieces, stationery, and lush floral arrangements. The ambiance was intimate yet grand, perfect for a sophisticated and modern celebration.
After another change of dress, hairstyle and make up for the bride, the couple ventured out onto the courtyard. Under the starlit sky, they shared their first dance surrounded by candles and twinkling lights.
A special mention for the incredible cake made for this shoot. The smell of the intricately layered white chocolate was irresistible and the modern style matched the rest of the day so completely - it was perfection!
