Eden is a country girl from Berkshire and lover of all things DIY, boho and sustainable weddings. She is our go to expert for countryside wedding venue recommendations and creative DIY ideas.

Having lived in the Thames Valley all her life, Eden has a great knowledge of the Oxfordshire, Berkshire, and Hampshire area. She is a great person to contact if you need support finding wedding venues or suppliers within this region.

Eden’s Role at Guides for Brides

Eden is our Digital Marketing & Social Media Executive at Guides for Brides. She is responsible for implementing and planning our marketing and social media campaigns to help couples find the best wedding venues and businesses so that they can make their big day dreams a reality.

Eden also assists our wedding marketing clients at our sister agency, Big Day Agency. She manages a number of social media accounts on behalf of wedding businesses and consults regularly to help wedding professionals to reach their ideal audience.

Eden’s Experience and Educational Background

Eden has 3 years of experience in events and arts marketing. She used to work for her local theatre promoting shows and encouraging ticket sales for events. She has a passion for marketing that began during her GCSEs and A-levels where Business Studies was her favourite subject. This was closely followed by her Graphic Communications classes at Sixth Form, where she developed a love of developing and communicating a brand image. 

Eden is also an entrepreneur and is the Founder of an online society run through social media for girls training their gundogs. Forming The Girls with Gundogs Club has helped Eden to understand the importance of developing a community when you are marketing your business. She uses the skills she has developed in forming her group at Guides for Brides every day.

What is your favourite thing to write about on Guides for Brides?

I love writing about wedding venues, especially wedding barns and country house venues. There is just so much character and charm to these locations, but all are so different to one another. I really enjoy learning about the history and seeing how couples choose to make the spaces available on their own.

What is your dream wedding day style?

I picture a dreamy outdoor wedding in a pretty marquee or tipi, nestled in a picturesque field surrounded by the stunning countryside. I love the growing trend of being more sustainable while wedding planning, so I’d make it as eco-friendly as possible. As someone who's spent countless hours outdoors riding horses and training my trusty gundog, Copper; it's only fitting that my big day is a reflection of my nature-loving personality!

What is your biggest tip for wedding businesses marketing right now?

Reviews are key! People want to see what previous couples' experiences have been with you. So, make sure you ask the couples you have provided a wedding service to to leave a review for you on your Guides for Brides listing (for members, these each act as a Customer Service Award nomination too!)

Also, don’t just tell couples what you can do… Show them with images and videos of your work. It is best practice to make sure these are up to date and if you have any that include popular trends then even better!
