Getting to Vegas from the UK
Direct flights from the UK are available from London Heathrow and Gatwick to Las Vegas (LAS). Flight time is around 10–11 hours. Book early to get the best deals on both flights and hotels.
Where To Stay in Las Vegas
Accommodation fills up fast. Most Vegas hotels near the Strip have rooms with two queen beds - ideal for sharing and cutting costs. Airbnbs are also a great option, especially if you want a kitchen or extra space.

One helpful tip is to stay somewhere with in-room coffee-making facilities, or choose an Airbnb with a kitchen or kitchenette. Bringing a reusable travel cup and a sandwich with you for lunch is also a great way to avoid overpaying for food and drinks throughout the day.
Getting Around Las Vegas
Navigating Las Vegas is surprisingly easy - especially if you plan ahead. Here's how to keep it smooth (and budget-friendly):
- Uber & Lyft: Both apps work well across the city and are often the most convenient way to get to and from the airport or the convention centre. Prices surge and there can be up to 15 minutes wait for rides during peak hours, so try to travel just before or after the rush. Sharing rides with other attendees can cut the cost even more.
- The Las Vegas Monorail: The Monorail runs along the east side of the Strip and stops right at the Convention Center, making it perfect for Wedding MBA. A single ride costs around $5. A 3-day unlimited pass is around $29 and can be worth it if you're using it daily. If you buy your pass online in advance for convenience (and sometimes discounts).
- Walking: Many hotels are technically “close” to the Convention Center, but Vegas blocks are long and often not straight forward with lots of crowds. Always factor in walking time and wear comfortable shoes.
- Bus (The Deuce): The Deuce runs up and down the Strip 24/7. It's cheap ($6 for 2 hours, $8 for 24 hours) and air-conditioned - but slower than the Monorail in traffic.
Our top tip: If you're staying on or near the Strip, combine the Monorail for daytime commutes and Uber/Lyft for nights out or further destinations.
