Kerrie and Tom met at work and dated for 2 and a half years before getting engaged. 18 months later, the couple tied the knot at Brookfield Barn in a simple yet elegant celebration. Read on to get plenty of inspiration for you barn wedding.
The Venue
Kerrie and Tom chose Brookfield Barn as both their ceremony and reception venue. As soon as the couple arrived for their first viewing, they knew it was where they wanted their special day. The views across the lake and golf course were absolutely beautiful and so was the barn! The bride and groom didn’t feel the need to decorate the barn as it was simply perfect as it was! Instead of a colour scheme, Kerrie and Tom decided to use white flowers and green flowers to keep their day simple and sophisticated. The couple's vision become a reality with the added touch of personalised chalkboard signs throughout their day. Brookfield Barn’s staff also made Kerrie and Tom feel like theirs was the only wedding due to their dedication. All this created a truly special experience for the bride and groom.
The Fashion
The bride wore a stunning gown by Enzoani from Helena Fortley which perfectly complemented their simple and elegant feel. The sleek mermaid dress was chic and timeless with its classic strapless sweetheart neckline and covered buttons. Kerrie’s four bridesmaids wore one shouldered taupe dresses in chiffon and satin. The groom and his two groomsmen wore navy and grey suits with Tom adding a splash of colour thanks to the red soles of his shoes!
The Reception
Kerrie and Tom’s guests were greeted by a string quartet at the canapé, reception, which was their favourite part of the day. The delicious food continued throughout the evening. First, a 3 course meal featuring chicken liver parfait as a starter, lamb shank for the main and a brownie for dessert. There were also mini burgers and fish and chips later on in the evening. Instead of favours, the couple had a photo booth so their guests could have memories to take away with them after they danced the night away with the help of a DJ.
