Krisi and Nick planned an intimate autumn wedding at Tredudwell Manor in Cornwall, with dark green and gold décor, moon and star details, coastal views and personal handmade touches.
Captured by Ginger Jam Photography, the celebration brought together family, friends and meaningful moments in one of Cornwall's most scenic coastal settings.
The Proposal
Krisi and Nick met on Bumble and were together for nearly six years before getting engaged.
Shortly before a holiday to Cyprus, the couple had been shopping for rings together, and Nick mentioned that the one he had ordered would not arrive in time for the trip. Towards the end of the holiday, he suggested a sunset walk along the clifftop. As the sun began to set, he got down on one knee with a temporary ring made from Welsh silver.
The gesture meant even more because the couple had lived together in Cardiff for six years and made many happy memories there. Once the original ring arrived, Krisi chose to wear both rings - each with its own story.
The Venue
The couple spent around 18 months planning their wedding and wanted a venue where everyone could stay together and make the most of the weekend.
They loved that Tredudwell Manor felt completely theirs for the celebration. Set on the Cornish coast, the venue offered sweeping views alongside the Manor House, grounds and reception barn, giving them the perfect mix of old and new with the blank canvas feel they were looking for.
The outdoor space and nearby clifftop walks sealed the deal. Those coastal views would later become the setting for some of their favourite photos.
The Fashion
Krisi wore the Stars Align gown by Willowby by Watters, which she found at Laura May Bridal. She said finding her wedding dress there was the best experience, and the celestial details of the gown helped inspire the wedding's moon and star theme.
Nick chose a navy suit with a champagne waistcoat and tie from Suits Direct. One of the most meaningful details of his outfit was his late father's watch - a subtle but beautiful tribute.
The bridesmaids wore mix-and-match dresses from a variety of online stores, while the flower girls' dresses and ring bearer's suit were found on Vinted. The groomsmen also wore suits from Suits Direct, keeping the look coordinated without being identical.
The Styling
Dark green and gold were the starting point for the wedding styling, later developing into a celestial wedding theme with moon and star details woven throughout the day.
Krisi's dad created a striking moon backdrop for the ceremony, while family and friends helped hang star lanterns in the reception barn.
The couple also included a fisherman's knot tying ceremony to honour their homeland, adding another personal touch to the day.
The Ceremony
One of Krisi's bridesmaids gave a reading from The Chaos of Stars, followed by a special reading during the knot tying ceremony.
There were some nerves before it began, with a yellow weather warning in place that morning. As guests travelled to the rural venue from across the country, there were a few tense hours waiting to make sure everyone arrived safely - but in the end, everyone made it and the day unfolded just as they had hoped.
The Food and Drink
Daytime catering was provided by Cornwall Chef, who served canapés, reception drinks and a three-course plated wedding breakfast.
In the evening, Kernow Forno served pasties and wood-fired pizzas, giving guests a relaxed late-night food option with a local touch.
Cornish Cakes created the couple's wedding cake, while Krisi's mum baked a huge selection of miniature cakes for a dessert table, complete with takeaway boxes for guests.
The Entertainment
Lawn games filled the afternoon, including the handmade cornhole set built especially for the day.
In the evening, Perfect Wedding and Events DJs kept the dance floor busy, while a photo booth from Cornwall Hire doubled as the guest book. Their first dance began with the acoustic version of Still Into You before switching to the Paramore version, bringing everyone onto the floor.
Sparklers rounded off the celebrations later that night, while guests were also given moon and star Macmillan Cancer Support charity pins as favours - a cause close to both of their hearts.
Wedding Highlights
For Krisi, one of the standout moments came after dinner. Before the evening reception began, they walked along the clifftop for photos. Those images have since become some of her favourites.
With a minimoon in Devon for a few nights after the wedding, the couple are hoping to plan a longer honeymoon soon.
With plenty of DIY input and a strong support network, Krisi and Nick created a wedding that reflected where they're from and who they are now.
