How They Met
Sean and Claire have a sweet love story that started during the lockdown. They met online in August 2020, when things were getting easing with the pandemic. Despite the constant changing in rules after they met, Sean and Claire decided to officially be a couple because they both felt something special. In November 2020 when rules were strict again, Claire temporarily moved in with Sean but ended up never moving back out!
The Proposal
During a holiday to Rome in August 2021, Claire and Sean had a moment they'll never forget. After an amazing dinner, they were walking through St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican City when Claire turned around to see Sean on one knee with a gorgeous sparkling aquamarine ring. Sean had been secretly carrying the ring since they left the UK, and of course she said "yes".
The Wedding Venue
Claire and Sean chose Mitton Hall in Lancashire as their wedding venue, as soon as they walked into the breathtaking historic reception area, they had that feeling and knew it was them. The huge roaring fire and warm and inviting atmosphere, just had something special about it and they could picture having those special moments at Mitton Hall. One of the favourite parts for the couple was hearing the residents bar was 24 hours, they were sold.

The Fashion
The fashion was a beautiful blend of warmth and sophistication, all thanks to their vibrant colour scheme. They drew inspiration from the rich hues of autumn, bringing in tones of rusty orange and gold. To add a touch of softness, they paired these warm colours with delicate blush and champagne beige.
The bridesmaids rocked different shades of orange and gold, creating a perfect ensemble. Complementing the theme, the groomsmen wore deep orange ties, seamlessly blending the entire bridal party for stunning photographs.
Claire looked absolutely breathtaking in her wedding dress, with a fitted silhouette and lace appliqué bodice. She completed the look with a long veil, delicate pearl earrings and a show stopping hair piece. For the wedding reception, the bride changed her hair style to be more relaxed and ready for the party. Sean looked smart in a navy blue 3 piece suit and patent dress shoes. He chose a different tie colour, allowing him to stand out from his groomsmen.
Special Touches
Claire and Sean's wedding day at Mitton Hall was filled with special touches that made the day truly unique and memorable. During the ceremony, they surprised each other by saying their own vows, which they had prepared but hadn't shared until that emotional moment.
Sean's love for shots was incorporated into his speech, where everyone was treated to a shot of Lemoncello to celebrate their engagement in Italy. As wedding favours, they gave their guests 'drinks tokens', allowing everyone to enjoy a drink of their choice at the bar. A really unique addition to the bar was their personalised beer tap label. The perfect way for the couple to showcase their pint of choice during the reception.
The couple also made sure the evening reception music reflected their diverse tastes, ranging from boy bands to dance, RnB, and power ballads. The DJ transitioned between genres, creating a lively and varied atmosphere that kept the celebration going.
