After three years together and a romantic Valentine’s day proposal in Rome, Hayley and David’s gorgeous wedding day was a fairytale dream come to life. Choosing a traditional church wedding for the ceremony, their reception at the Grosvenor Pulford Hotel & Spa looked like a pink, floral fantasy.
The Proposal
Hayley and David met at work, where David had just become a solicitor and Hayley started as a trainee. Three years on, David surprised her with a romantic trip away to Rome where he popped the question on Valentine’s day.
The Fashion
For her bridal gown, Hayley opted for a gorgeous, full-length Ronald Joyce dress with lace and mesh detailing. Because her bridesmaids all have different styles, Hayley chose a beautiful selection of mismatched dusky pink gowns. This allowed each of the bridesmaids to show their personality whilst still matching the theme. For the groom’s suit, David chose a bespoke suit with a subtle pink button hole.
The Wedding
For their wedding day, they turned their venue into a pink paradise with their beautiful blossom tree theme. They also wanted a loose ‘Alice in Wonderland’ theme to run throughout. So, they chose a adorable ‘eat me’ and ‘drink me’ signs which added an extra touch of fun to the day. As their reception guests entered, they were welcomed by an ice cream cart which they could enjoy with their drinks. To make things even sweeter, Hayley and David also had a sweet table filled with donuts, and a pimp your prosecco table which their guests loved! They had an evening DJ and provided their guests with flip flops so they could dance all night long.
Their Favourite Moment
The speeches! David wrote a poem, which was used as the basis of the wedding video, and the father of bride's speech was very emotional. Finally, the best man wrote an amazing song which had everyone joining in.
