Something Borrowed Bridal offers designer wedding dress hire in Basildon and the surrounding areas, giving brides-to-be beautiful designer gowns for a fraction of the buying price whilst still helping them feel special on their wedding day. New for 2025, we now have a collection of curve dresses as we believe every bride deserves to feel stunning, confident, and comfortable on her wedding day. Available to hire in selected sizes or to re-order in sizes 16-32 for purchase.

We provide elegant, timeless wedding dresses for those whose budget doesn’t allow for a purchase or if you are arranging your wedding sooner rather than later! Our dresses range from timeless classic designs to glamorous gowns, ensuring we can suit every budget and every style.

We stock beautiful wedding dresses by noted designers Morilee, Maggie Sottero, Justin Alexander, Allure Bridal, Kenneth Winston and British Bridal. Our dresses are available for a week’s rental and our prices include the cost of dry-cleaning, however a longer rental period is available for an extra cost for destination weddings or a second wedding reception party. All we ask is that you return the dress to us in good condition so that we may dry-clean it and prepare it for the next bride-to-be.

Our Curve Collection by Island Bridal is a thoughtfully curated collection to provide plus-size brides with elegant, well-structured gowns that enhance and celebrate their natural curves. We have a selection of dresses available for hire, or we can order any dress in size 16-32 for the bride to purchase.
