Dovey Cake Design is an artisan cake studio in South Oxfordshire, owned by Clare. Clare creates opulent wedding cakes and indulgent dessert tables for couples looking for a classic but fashion forward feel to their day. Specialising in sugar flower artistry and bold design, an emphasis on outstanding flavour, meticulous attention to detail and an exceptionally personalised experience.
Clare uses a mix of traditional and cutting-edge techniques to produce truly beautiful, contemporary creations with wow-factor. She specialises in dreaming up statement cakes using a range of decorative techniques, in particular handmade sugar flowers.
Clare’s signature style is described as classic but with a fashion forward, contemporary twist. She fuses fresh, home baking with fabulous and innovative creative artistic expression.
Taking inspiration from the smallest details of your day, she works to create stunning statement cakes which blend seamlessly with your wedding style, but that also evoke a sense of drama and fun.
We offer a fully comprehensive service in the South East of England. From initial consultation, tasting, briefing and design, through to delivery and set up at your venue.
We are fully insured and hold a five star Food Standards Agency rating.

FAQs
Yes! We offer a personal consultation where you can taste samples of our most popular flavours. We also offer luxury tasting boxes, delivered to you work or home, for you to try together in private. Both of these options are complimentary to couples who have paid their booking deposit. Contact us to book yours.
Most couples book with 12 months notice. However it's always worth enquiring if you are very late in the day as we may have availability on your date. 6 months notice is ideal.
Yes. We offer gluten free wedding cakes.
Yes we offer vegan options
No. All of our cakes are made in an environment where nuts are present.

You can have as many flavours as you have tiers! And any combination of fillings.
No. Our insurance and health and safety prevent us from being able to do this.
Our cakes begin at £500 for a three tier. Every cake is entirely bespoke, so a detailed, no obligation quote can be provided when we have had an initial discussion about your design.
Yes. Delivery and setup is complimentary for venues within 20 miles of Oxford. We are able to deliver across the South East, please do ask for a quote should you require this.
We've delivered to far flung places before - ask us for a quote!
No. You are welcome to collect a fully assembled cake which we would pack in to a box for you. However once the cake leaves the studio we cannot be held liable for any damage that may occur in transit. We don't supply tiers separately for you to assemble as we believe that this should be done by a professional, in order to ensure that your wedding cake is perfect.
Yes! We like to help you make sure that the cake looks great, and stands are an important part of this. Cake stand hire is complimentary (a refundable damages deposit applies). Cake stands must be returned to us within 7 days of your wedding.
