About The Lawn

The Lawn sits in Rochford, Essex, as a Georgian manor house set within three acres of landscaped gardens and bordered by extensive parkland. Couples have exclusive use of the house and grounds for their entire wedding day, with access from early morning through to late evening and free adjacent parking for guests.

In the house there are two large rooms where the wedding party can prepare and relax before key moments such as the entrance down the sweeping staircase or moving into the reception spaces. Civil ceremonies can take place in the grand hall, or couples may choose a church service followed by celebrations at The Lawn. Outside, a purpose-built gazebo adjoins the rose garden for outdoor ceremonies, with varied settings for photographs throughout the gardens and parkland. The venue’s own caterers prepare food on site, with choices from simple buffets to banquet-style receptions and two licensed bars including an outside terrace bar in summer. A dedicated bridal room is available for the bride and her attendants. The Orangery, built in a style consistent with the listed house and equipped with air-conditioning and facilities for sound and vision, serves as a principal reception space linked to the gardens. The Lawn’s location offers road, rail, and air accessibility and is within reach of a nearby hotel that offers exclusive discounts for guests. Its blend of historic architecture, garden spaces and flexible use of indoor and outdoor areas shapes the flow of a wedding day at the property.
