The beautifully restored 17th century thatched Essex Barn is an idyllic wedding venue for your special day. Tie the knot with your soulmate in surroundings full of character with up to 100 of your loved ones there to share the moment.

Under the 1994 Marriage Act, The Essex Barn is fully licensed to host civil ceremonies for both opposite and same-sex marriages.

Not only will you be able to view this gorgeous wedding venue, there will also be a large selection of local wedding specialists ready to make your day extra special. We advise couples to pre-register for quick entry on the day and to be kept updated with new shows added and special promotions.

Channels is located in Chelmsford, with amazing opportunities to change the backdrop of your wedding depending on where you wish to marry in our grounds. Our Thatched Barn Wedding Venue sits in the stunning ceremony garden overlooking the magnificent Essex countryside and is available with exclusive use. With a 26 bedroom and a Bridal preparation area & stunning Bridal Suite. We are licensed for ceremonies and have space for up to 120 guests during the day and 200 for your evening reception.
