About Whately Hall
Whately Hall sits in the heart of Banbury in Oxfordshire in a building that dates back to the 17th century. Its historic structure and gardens frame weddings that can include both the ceremony and celebrations on the same site. Couples can choose to hold a licensed civil ceremony outdoors in the gardens or inside in the venue’s function room, and guests can move between spaces for drinks, the wedding breakfast and the rest of the day.
The gardens extend behind the hotel and are used for wedding photography and receptions. An experienced coordinator works with couples throughout planning and on the day itself. Viewing the venue begins with a show-around of the suites, reception spaces and gardens; this visit includes a complimentary cream tea for two. Open days are held at scheduled times, giving prospective couples the chance to see the site and meet the team, with a glass of fizz on arrival.
