About Cuckney House
Our beautiful Georgian Manor has four reception rooms, a panelled ballroom, a games room, hot tubs, private landscaped gardens and a walled garden to create the idyllic backdrop for your special day. When it comes to accommodation, your guests will have the run of the house's 15 bedrooms, which can sleep 31 people (or up to 40 on sofa beds and put-up beds). Our venue-only approach allows you to curate a unique wedding.
Cuckney House is licensed to hold civil ceremonies in our small Edwardian garden pavilion, the kitchen garden, drawing room, dining room or stunning panelled ballroom.
Or, if you prefer a church wedding, there is a beautiful Grade I-listed Parish Church dating back to the 12th Century, only five minutes' walk from Cuckney House. We can put you in touch with the friendly local vicar.
The landscaped gardens are ideal for reception drinks, or choose from the bar, drawing room, or dining room. The wedding breakfast can take place in the elegant, panelled ballroom, which seats up to fifty or the dining room, which seats up to twenty-eight. If you prefer informal outdoor dining, you could hire heaters and create a fairy-lit haven in the walled-garden dining area, which seats 20.
If you book an overnight stay package, your guests will have access to the house's 15 bedrooms, which can accommodate 31 people (or up to 40 on sofa or put-up beds). You can then also make the most of the house's games room, hot tubs, tennis courts, outside games, and stunning BBQ area in the walled gardens.
The beautiful house was once home to the 6th Duke of Portland and was one of the set locations in 2014 for the film Testament of Youth, which starred Kit Harington, Taron Egerton, Dominic West, and Alicia Vikander.
Please note that Cuckney House can be booked as venue only, which means we allow outside caterers and there is no corkage fee.
