About Briar House Barns

Briar House Barns sits within the East Sussex countryside close to the Kent border, offering couples a choice between two adaptable barn spaces for weddings and events. The Great Barn can accommodate large celebrations, with room to host from around 60 guests up to 1,000, while The Stone Barn is suited to more intimate ceremonies.

Both barns are blank canvases that combine rural character with practical facilities and neutral décor, allowing couples to arrange seating, décor and layout to fit their preferences. Throughout the day, there are several licensed options for ceremonies and receptions: The Stone Barn is a private, enclosed space ideal for smaller gatherings, and outdoor areas offer seating for up to 300 guests for open-air ceremonies.
Tables and chairs in Cheltenham or Chiavari styles are provided, and a tiled black-and-white dance floor is available; a fully licensed bar operates without corkage fees for table wines brought by couples. On-site parking is ample, with spaces close to the venue and arrangements possible for larger vehicles.

The venue’s countryside setting includes an 80-foot terrace adjoining the Great Barn, overlooking fields where guests can gather after a ceremony, and natural surroundings that serve as backdrops for photographs. Briar House Barns is dry-hire, so couples can select their own caterers or work with recommended suppliers to plan dining and refreshments.
