About Berwick Lodge
Berwick Lodge stands on the outskirts of Bristol within 18 acres of gardens and woodlands, combining historic architecture with flexible spaces for weddings of various sizes. Couples who choose exclusive use have the lodge and grounds entirely to themselves for the duration of their celebration, with coverage from midday through the following morning.
Indoor and outdoor ceremony options are available, including the bright Mesopotamia room in the separate Mews building or one of three garden locations such as Aphrodite’s Dome and The Fountain, each offering views across gardens, woodland and open fields to Wales.
The interior of the Victorian house includes original features such as wood panelling, open fireplaces and crystal chandeliers, while the reception room has floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking gardens and distant views. Guests can move between formal meal spaces, lounges and outdoor areas throughout the day. Catering is provided by Berwick Lodge’s in-house chefs, drawing on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients with menu and wine tasting included as part of planning. Couples can also choose alternative evening food trucks as an option.
Accommodation comprises 14 individually designed bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, including a complimentary deluxe suite for the couple. Check-in for bedrooms typically begins at 3 pm, and the dressing room in the Mews is available from early morning. Throughout planning and on the day itself, a dedicated wedding team supports arrangements, styling and coordination, with added flexibility for bespoke elements and extended celebrations.
