About Trunkwell House Hotel

Trunkwell House sits within 34 acres of Berkshire countryside in Beech Hill, Reading, and has hosted more than 1,000 weddings over 20 years of events. Its Victorian manor house and manicured gardens can be used for smaller celebrations, and for larger occasions a permanent marquee and summer house set in the grounds provide flexible event space.

Only one wedding is held per day, meaning couples and their guests have exclusive use of the venue for their day. Both the marquee and the house are registered for civil ceremonies and civil partnerships. There are three different ceremony settings. The Victorian Dining Room holds up to 40 guests and features original details and an open fireplace. A garden pavilion set within the landscaped grounds is licensed for civil ceremonies and partnerships. The Garden Marquee is also licensed and can be adapted to suit different themes and styles, with space for larger gatherings.

Wedding packages at Trunkwell House are designed to cover all aspects of a celebration and can be customised to suit individual requirements. Options include exclusive use of the marquee, gardens and house, professional waiting staff, celebration drinks, a wedding breakfast or barbecue, table settings, décor elements such as a fairy light canopy, and support from an experienced wedding planner and on-day event manager. Accommodation is available on site in six boutique-style bedrooms, each individually decorated. There are three suites (including a family room) and three double rooms. Continental breakfast is included, with the choice to upgrade to a cooked option.
