The Grand Hotel Scarborough sits in the centre of Scarborough on St Nicholas Cliff with extensive views across South Bay and the harbour. A long-established hotel in a landmark Victorian building, it overlooks the seafront and forms part of the town’s skyline, retaining historic architectural character since its completion in the 1860s.

Weddings take place in spaces that open out to sea views and internal rooms with high ceilings and period features. The Palm Court Ballroom on the first floor has capacity for up to 150 guests with a 9 m × 9 m dance floor and panoramic views over the bay, and can be used for ceremonies, wedding breakfasts and evening receptions. An intimate alternative, the Victoria Room, holds smaller gatherings. An outdoor ceremony on the Sun Deck overlooking South Bay is also available, subject to weather and registrar agreement.

Arrival space at the hotel has a red carpet and a straightforward drop-off point for wedding cars. The Sun Terrace and cocktail bar are places couples and guests often use for welcome drinks and photographs with coastal views.

The Grand Hotel holds a licence for civil ceremonies. Wedding packages include room hire, a toastmaster service, arrival and toast drinks, a three-course wedding breakfast, and an evening buffet. Linen, still and sparkling water on tables, a cake stand with knife and special overnight rates for guests are included in inclusive options.

Overnight accommodation is available on site with numerous guest rooms. Couples and guests can remain at the hotel after the celebration.
