About Grittleton House

Grittleton House is a Grade II-listed country manor set in the Wiltshire countryside on the edge of the Cotswolds, approached by a private tree-lined drive and surrounded by formal gardens and grounds. Couples can hold their wedding celebrations within the house or across its various indoor and outdoor spaces.

Licensed rooms inside include multiple choices for civil ceremonies and dining, and in warmer months an outdoor ceremony can be held. Nearby St Mary the Virgin church in Grittleton village is accessible through a private gate for traditional weddings.

On the wedding day, the Drawing Room overlooks the main drive and is reserved for bridal or groom preparation. A bottle of fizz and refreshments are provided on the morning of the wedding. Civil ceremony licencing is in place for various spaces, with smaller rooms suited to about 50 guests and the Orangery capable of accommodating up to 400.

Seated dining is available across the Galleries and in the Orangery, with the Galleries seating up to 108–126 guests and the Orangery up to 168–200, depending on table style. If a wedding has a large guest list, multiple dining rooms can be used together. Minimum catering numbers apply: 80 adult day guests on Fridays and Saturdays, 50 on other days, with flexibility at off-peak times.

Accommodation for weddings includes ten luxury super-king bedrooms in the Main House, each with its own en-suite, plus 20 bedrooms in converted Victorian Stables on the grounds. All guests are welcome to stay, and breakfast in the Morning Room brings people back together after the event.
