Given its excellent weather, stunning beaches, and old-world Spanish charm, Mallorca is a popular destination for honeymooners and couples looking for a romantic escape in Spain. As the biggest island in the Balearics, it offers plenty of things for all kinds of honeymooners. Whether you're here for the beaches, historical sites, or outdoor activities, you are guaranteed to enjoy an unforgettable honeymoon in Mallorca. Here are some of the incredible places to visit on the island.

1. Alcudia

The holiday resort of Alcudia lies on Mallorca's northeast coast and is one of the best areas to explore while on a honeymoon in Mallorca. It has a fantastic 10-km stretch of beautiful beaches with fine white sands, where you can enjoy romantic walks at sunset.

Couples who love sightseeing will enjoy wandering in the historic old town, while those who love to shop can hunt for bargains at the weekly farmer's market. Beach lovers will also have plenty of areas to swim, relax, and take up outdoor sports. Alcudia is also home to some stunning Rococo and Renaissance palaces from the 15th century. For couples feeling a bit energetic, climb up the Sa Talaia d'Alcudia. At 400 metres tall, it will reward you with the most impressive panorama once you get to the top.

There are plenty of clean beaches around Alcudia if you want to spend your honeymoon lounging at the beach and enjoying the stunning views of your surroundings. You can also take up water sports, such as water-skiing and windsurfing. And after a day spent exploring the island, stay in any of the beautiful Majorca rentals with a large pool where you can relax and bask in marital bliss.

2. Magaluf

Magaluf is a major holiday resort area in Majorca and a must-visit for honeymooners. It's located on the southwest part of the island and is buzzing with a vibrant party scene and boasting some of the island's most beautiful white-sand beaches, such as the Playa de Magaluf.

You'll find plenty of luxury resorts in Magaluf that cater to couples on honeymoon, but for those who love to party, head to the famous beach club, Nikki Beach. Aside from its themed parties, Nikki Beach is also renowned for its international cuisines. Spend the day relaxing on the plush Balinese beds at the poolside or indulge in a relaxing couple's spa.

For couples who love great food, you'll find plenty of options to indulge in Magaluf. Head to Plaza Momentum, which offers excellent lunch and dinner options. The square is also the location of Magaluf's Urban Food Court, where you'll find delectable Spanish tapas and traditional Vermut. You'll also find that some of Magaluf's beach clubs have charming terraces perfect for enjoying al fresco dining.

3. Cala Millor

Cala Millor is a charming holiday resort on Mallorca's east coast. Here, you'll find everything you need for a relaxing honeymoon getaway. The area's main attraction is its beautiful long sandy beach. But there's more to discover in this stunning seaside resort than a great beach. You'll also find plenty of interesting things to see and do in the area.

At 1.8 kilometres long and 35 metres wide, the blue flag beach is Cala Millor's biggest attraction. This beautiful beach has pure white sand and crystal-clear waters. It also has all the amenities you would expect from a holiday resort, such as sunbeds, showers, lifeguards, bars, and water sports amenities. On the southern part of the beach, you'll find Punta d'Amer, a rocky outcrop with an old watchtower. Here, you can enjoy a drink as you marvel at the spectacular views of the surroundings.

On the island’s east coast, you'll find many secluded coves and caves. Some of the best ones to check out are Cuevas Drach and 'Coves des Hams', which are both close to Porto Cristo. For history lovers, check out the Bronze Age settlements nearby, particularly the Ses Paisses, a Bronze-age talayotic settlement.

4. Palma

Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca's capital city, is a wonderful place to go sightseeing on your honeymoon. This beautiful Mediterranean city attracts thousands of visitors each year with its rich offering of history, art, culture, and gastronomy. The city’s beautiful streets are home to enticing boutiques, cosy cafes, contemporary art galleries, and bustling food markets.

On your visit to Palma, make sure you stop by the Palma Cathedral. This Gothic Roman cathedral was constructed during the right of King Jaime II on the walls that surrounded Palma's Old Town. It features a tall nave of about 44 metres tall - the second-highest nave in all of the cathedrals in the world. Take a map to explore the narrow-cobbled stone streets right behind the cathedral, which are mainly pedestrian-friendly. Go check out the Arab Baths and the Bishop's Garden.

Palma is also home to some of Mallorca's best golf resorts, making it the perfect place for couples who love golf holidaying in Spain. The T Golf Palma is a 71-course set in a stunning natural area and the first-ever course designed by popular professional golfer Jack Nicklaus.

5. Pollenca

Pollenca is a beautiful town located in the northern part of Mallorca, close to Cap de Formentor and Alcúdia. It's a honey-stoned town oozing with charm. One of the best things to do on your honeymoon is to walk hand in hand around its charming, cobbled streets and stop at some cosy cafes or restaurants. It is also worth exploring a little further to discover the hidden gems of Pollenca.

The main square of Pollenca's Old Town is the place to visit for the best restaurants and cafes. It's often busy and a great place to people watch. There is also a Sunday market buzzing with locals and tourists shopping from the long line of delicious food stalls. Climb the 365 Calvari Steps starting at Placa Major and into the top of the town to enjoy the city's lovely views. The walk going to the top is not too difficult and passes through a charming part of the town.

Visit the Museo Dionis Bennassar just off the main square, which showcases the work of a famous local artist. The atmosphere is also peaceful and serene, a wonderful place to relax after exploring the busy Old Town.
