Bora Bora is an alluring destination for many, with travellers from across the globe regularly choosing Bora Bora for their honeymoon destination. \nThis jewel of the ocean is one of the most romantic destinations in the world, with turquoise waters as far as the eye can see. At the centre of the island lies the dormant volcano, Mt. Otemanu, which can be seen from any position on the island. It really is the signature sight of Bora Bora, and you soon get into the habit of forecasting the weather by looking up at the volcano. Imagine waking up to that view every day - just magical.\n

\nOverwater bungalows, much like in The Maldives, are a firm favourite and highly recommended even if only for a couple of nights stay. These wonderful floating villas often have glass floors for you to watch the lagoon life below, along with private entrances into the ocean. The feeling of luxury here is quite unique.\n

\nDuring your stay, you can easily spend your time whiling away the hours lounging on beaches with a good book and enjoying a drink in the resort bars. Sometimes taking time to reset your body and mind by simply relaxing is the best way to enjoy a honeymoon. If you fancy getting out for the day, you can rent a moped or car and head to the main village, Vaitape, to explore some of the boutique shops and restaurants. For something more active, why not hike up to the top of Mount Otemanu for some breathtaking views - whilst tiring in the heat it really is worth the effort.\nThe ocean is really the temptation for most travellers to Bora Bora. Jump on a jet ski and tour around the island for a waterside view of this honeymoon hotspot, or take a dip and enjoy a spot of snorkelling or scuba-diving. The wildlife here is so colourful - either head straight out from your overwater bungalow or book yourself an excursion for the day with some expert guides. They'll be able to share their invaluable knowledge of Bora Bora with you and point you in the right direction to get the most out of your stay. There's something quite incredible about swimming with sharks and stingrays in a natural coral reef.\n
