Looking for a stunning wedding venue with magnificent architecture, luscious gardens and manicured lawns? The Renaissance at Kelham Hall is the perfect location for both intimate and lavish weddings.

This iconic wedding venue is situated amongst 42 acres of idyllic Nottinghamshire parkland and sits right on the River Trent. The Renaissance at Kelham Hall opens for show rounds from December 2021, and will be hosting weddings again from April 2022.

Kelham Hall Exterior

The Grade I listed landmark is gorgeous both in its exterior and interior. Kelham Hall is a classic example of Gothic revival architecture, with opulence and splendour in every detail. There are many picturesque backdrops throughout the Victorian building, and of course the exterior is also perfect for capturing the most amazing wedding photos.

This location is especially perfect for lovers of history. The estate was designed and completed by Sir George Gilbert Scott in 1863, however this is actually the third building to stand at Kelham Hall. The Manners Sutton family built the first Kelham Hall in the 1650s which was destroyed by a fire in 1728, and a second was built shortly after but was destroyed by a fire in 1857. Luckily the third building has managed to survive (obviously)!

So, let’s take a look inside...

The Great Hall

The Great Hall is a stunning, spacious room built in 1927 by Anglican Monks. It is the second-largest concrete dome in England and has many original features. It features a sizeable bar, which can lead to a marquee. This room can hold 400 for a wedding breakfast or 650 for a ceremony.

The Carriage Court features red brick and arches support the domed ceiling. There is also a bar situated in this room, and the central wooden floor is perfect as a dance floor.

The Dining Room

The Dining Room overlooks the remarkable Victorian gardens, and there’s access to these through the Cedar Room. Other key features include mullioned windows, stone fireplaces and vaulted ceilings which are supported by granite pillars. And, of course, we must mention that this elegant room also has a bar.

Your Wedding at Kelham Hall

Not sure how many people to invite? This venue can accommodate anywhere from 2 to 500 guests, and offers a number of different locations. You can choose one of their wonderful state rooms, or if you wish, you can get married in the parish church of St Wilfred’s which is within the grounds. All their packages include the hire of either the Great Hall or a state room, with of course, a fully stocked bar.
