Planning a wedding that is more "till death do us part" than traditional romance? For couples who embrace the eerie side of life, tying the knot at a spooky venue is the perfect way to make your big day unforgettable - and what better time to do it than around Halloween? Whether you're drawn to historic castles with ghostly legends, abandoned mansions with a chilling past, or eerie estates that send shivers down your spine, a spooky venue can create a wedding experience unlike any other.

If you're looking to say "I do" amidst cobwebs, candlelight, and ghostly whispers, this list of haunted venues will give you the perfect setting for a wedding that's both romantic and hauntingly memorable.

Coombe Abbey Hotel, Coventry

As the name suggests, the stunning Coombe Abbey was originally a monastery dating back to the 12th century. It was given to Henry VII when the monasteries were dissolved, and the young Elizabeth I even lived here! With the royal history comes the spooky stories, including the ghosts of monks wandering the hallways, and a resident gypsy girl named Matilda who (according to legend) put a curse on the Craven family in the 19th century.

Loseley Park, Guildford

This glamorous manor house dates back to the 16th century and is packed with stunning original features and intriguing history. The More-Molyneux family has lived here for over 500 years, and have kept it in such good condition that it feels like you're walking through history. For spook-lovers, Loseley Park is home to a ghostly woman dressed in brown, who apparently makes regular trips over to the nearby Baynards Park to visit their headless horseman!

Warwick Castle, Warwick

It's no surprise that one of the most famous castles in British history, Warwick Castle has its own ghosts! The most famous of these is Sir Fulke Greville in the tower, who was allegedly murdered by his manservant. If you marry around Halloween then you can take advantage of some of the castle's spookiest displays and events, including seances and shows. It is a great wedding venue year round, but we particularly love it in the autumn when the evenings are warm and it gets dark early...
