This venue is exclusively yours for the day and you can even book for the whole weekend so that you can take in every special moment with your nearest and dearest.
Ceremonies at Hedingham Castle
You will be able to say 'I do' in the Banqueting Hall of the Keep at the Castle. This room has incredible Norman interiors and hundreds of candles are lit to give the room an enchanting glow. This room has the capacity for 100 seated guests as well as standing space for 30 more guests that can look down at the wedding from the Minstrels' Gallery.
Alternatively you may choose to have an outdoor wedding in the beautifully landscaped gardens at this venue or in the picturesque, medieval St. Nicholas Church at the end of the sweeping drive and then have your reception at the Castle.
Receptions at Hedingham Castle
Receptions at Hedingham Castle are held in their permanent Ballroom Marquee set on their tranquil Tulip Lawn. Your guests can walk to this marquee via the Tudor Bridge and the Mansion House, where they can have a drink in the silk lined Ashhurst Room.
You can select one of three preferred caterers who will serve excellent menus for you and your guests to indulge upon. If you are having a more intimate wedding, you may choose to have your reception in the unique Tapestry Room within the Castle. This room can hold up to 70 guests who can dine in medieval splendour with its own fully stocked bar and plenty of dancing space on the Garrison Floor.
Accommodation
There are two different character homes on the Hedingham Castle Estate. The Garden Cottage is secluded within its own orchard and can be a great place to get ready in the morning and then will be a romantic sanctuary for the newlyweds. The Medieval Lodge can sleep up to 17 guests and is a convenient place for family or close friends to stay. This space can also be split in to two sections if preferred.
The Gardens
The grounds encompass over 1000 years of defensive ramparts and the staff at the castle work hard to keep the gardens carefully manicured. We love how the outdoor space can be a focal point on your big day and the gardens look beautiful every season! Importantly, this venue works hard to be sustainable and have hopes to be carbon neutral.
Hedingham Castle Wedding Showcase
Hedingham Castle have arranged a wedding showcase so that you can see this breathtaking venue for yourself! They hold only two of these annually and one is coming up on the 9th of October 2022. The rooms at the venue will be dressed so that you can envision what it could look like on your day and there will be a variety of wedding suppliers there too! Entry to this event is free and you can have up to 6 people per booking, you just need to secure your time slot here.
