Following our live Facebook session with Anna Gowalski of Stratus Coaching discussing how to look after your mental health during uncertain times, we were able to give both couples, their support networks and wedding businesses the opportunity to discuss this in more detail in two separate free sessions.
Anna joined us on Tuesday 16th February 2021 for two zoom sessions, one for engaged couples and one for wedding business owners (or their team). Both are now available below to catch-up or rewatch.
For Wedding Couples and their Support Network
Planning a wedding is stressful at the best of times. Throw a pandemic into the mix and even the strongest of us may struggle with our mental wellbeing. Anna's session was designed to assist couples and their support network in managing their mental wellbeing. Brides or Grooms, you are welcome to share the video with your wedding party and extended support network if you feel it will be helpful for them in supporting you.
The session looked at how we can look after our mental health during these uncertain times, particularly in managing stress levels. It covers the following:
- Introduction to mental health & wellbeingÂ
- What is stress?Â
- Triggers and signs of stressÂ
- Handling pressure & stressÂ
Thanks to those who attended in person. If you were unable to make it, don't worry. Here is a recording of the session to catch up:
For Wedding Business Owners and Their Teams
Wedding industry professionals are passionate and love what they do. The pressure that comes with the job is usually grasped with both hands and managed successfully. It's what we do. However, the pandemic has meant that professionals who run wedding businesses are finding themselves having to postpone multiple events, manage financial strains and deal with the sadness of not being able to deliver the high-quality service we all endeavour to give to every couple.
