Eco-friendly and green weddings are on the rise, with more and more couples wanting to lessen their impact on the environment when it comes to their big day. One of the easiest ways to do this is to pick an eco-friendly wedding venue that's environmentally aware. Luckily, we have plenty of gorgeous eco-friendly venues in the UK! Here are our top picks...

Sheepdrove Organic Farm, Berkshire
Berkshire’s most unique and environmentally responsible venue, Sheepdrove Organic Farm is one of our favourite eco-friendly wedding venues. From the long countryside driveway decorated with metal sheep to the incredible painted mural in the main entrance hall, this venue is filled with quirky touches that your guests are sure to love.Â
The largest wedding room is The Oak Room, a stunning vaulted space with wooden interiors. This room looks amazing as is, or can easily be decorated to match your wedding theme. The Oak Room can accommodate 150 people for the wedding breakfast and up to 170 people for an evening reception. For a more intimate wedding, take a look at The Beech Room, which can seat up to 60 people for a ceremony. There are also some picturesque outdoor spaces, including The Physic Garden and the Boathouse and lake - perfect for those newlywed photos.Â
All of Sheepdrove's recommended caterers provide delicious, sustainably and locally-sourced food for your wedding breakfast, and there's even gorgeous farmhouse accommodation for up to 18 people on site.Â
South Farm, Cambridgeshire
This picture-perfect farmhouse on the Cambridgeshire/Hertfordshire border goes to show that you can still have a luxury wedding with a green ethos. South Farm has its own nature reserve, that's home to several endangered species (including adorable otters!), and the team rears their own poultry, pigs and game as well as growing over 200 types of fruit and vegetables!
There are so many beautiful ceremony locations at South Farm to choose from, we'd be hard-pressed to pick! You can get married outdoors weddings in the Summerhouse, which seats up to 146, or if you'd prefer to marry indoors, you can choose from the Old Dairy, which seats 100, or the splendid Tudor Barn which seats 146. For more intimate weddings, try the Drawing Room, which seats up to 35 guests. Even the accommodation is exciting, including Romany caravans, camping, and comfortable B&B rooms.Â
