We spoke to the lovely team at Katah Events about their amazing wedding tipis...
Tipis vs marquees
Our wedding tipis are a show-stopping alternative to a marquee — simply put, they’re much more beautiful! As well as that, the tipis can be put together in any number of configurations which means much more flexibility in terms of shape and space. The couples who we usually work with want the ‘wow’ factor and to be able to make their space their own.
A blank canvas wedding venue
As well as being impressive in their own right, wedding tipis are a blank canvas. Interiors can be as simple or as elaborate as you like. It’s important that guests feel comfortable in their surroundings, so our interiors are a mix of luxury and cosiness. Our couples and wedding planners love our handcrafted furniture and bars, and all of this can be added to with the floristry and decor in keeping with each wedding’s unique theme.

What sets us apart is the option to have beautiful tent linings which really elevate the tipis from a kind of rustic chic to a very elegant space. Lighting is key — once the natural light goes down, beautiful interior lighting transforms the space so guests have that ‘Wow!’ experience all over again. What’s more, we work in many beautiful venues where our uplighting of the trees creates a simply magical effect.
It’s all about creating a unique and memorable space. No two weddings are the same, and we are always working with our couples and other suppliers to create a bespoke design every time.

Brides on a budget
For the 2019 season we have just introduced our circular bar and a vintage hanging wagon wheel which are beautiful and can be decorated in keeping with the theme — your chosen flowers hanging from the roof of the tipi! We offer rustic table and bench dining furniture which are fun while still being elegant.Â
