Relaxed documentary wedding photography for couples who want to enjoy their wedding rather than spend it posing for photographs. Based in Birmingham and photographing weddings across the West Midlands and UK, I work quietly and unobtrusively, capturing the real moments, personalities and emotions of the day as they naturally happen. Ideal if you're camera-shy, hate posing, or simply want more time with the people you love.

I've been photographing weddings since 1987 and have photographed around 800 weddings, so I've learned that the photographs couples often treasure most aren't necessarily the ones anybody planned.

My approach is documentary: rather than constantly directing your wedding or taking you away from your guests, I watch for the laughter, reactions, hugs, nerves, children being children and all the little interactions that make your wedding yours.

There is still room for a few family photographs if you'd like them, and we'll get those done efficiently. We can also take a relaxed walk together for some natural photographs of the two of you without turning it into a lengthy photoshoot.

I photograph only one wedding per day and offer coverage from shorter celebrations through to around 15 hours for couples who want the whole story documented.

My pricing is published openly on my website, with weekday rates available Monday–Thursday and special Venue Partner Rates at selected recommended venues.
