As a Fellow of the Northern Guild of Toastmasters, we uphold the highest standards of etiquette and tradition. Yes this is a really important point. Your celebrant will want to get to know you in order to tailor your ceremony around your personalities and styles. I would want to find out a little about your main wedding party too, in order to deliver a personal touch to the proceedings. It's also nice if I can get some information from your main wedding party about their first impressions of your 'spouse to be' and any funny stories which can be woven into the service should you wish.
