Berwick Lodge

Yes! We can host up to 100 in our main ceremony 'Mesopotamia' in our Mews building, or we have three beautiful locations within the gardens. We also have smaller indoor choices 'Summeria' and 'The Summer House' for elopements and intimate weddings.

Berwick Lodge will be all yours! From midday on your wedding day until 11am the following morning, you'll have full use of the lodge and all 18 wonderful acres! We have 14 bedrooms in the hotel and we do ask that a minimum of 8 are to be taken by you and your guests. Although, if you are considering a smaller affair, we can still off non-exclusive intimate weddings.

We have three beautiful locations for outdoor weddings. Firstly - 'Aphrodite's Dome' with views of the orchard and this striking structure. Secondly - 'The Archway' with a lovely moon gate appearance and with flowers and a wild meadow on either side. Finally - 'The Fountain' - central in the grounds, with the beautiful sound of trickling water, and lovely open space all around.

As Berwick is a fully catered independent venue, corkage is unfortunately not offered.

Food is at the core of what we do here at Berwick Lodge - our delicious food, provided by our in-house team, will be served from our specially created wedding menus, using seasonal and local ingredients as much as possible. Although we pride ourselves on the ease of our all-inclusive wedding offering, we also hugely believe in personalisation and flexibility. Therefore, exclusive use weddings can forgo Berwick’s evening catering in place of a food truck of their choice.

Exclusive use starts from 12pm. However, suppliers are allowed earlier access and the Berwick fairy's will be on hand to put many of your items in place, meaning you won't need to lift a finger!

The licence is until midnight. However, a late licence until 1am is available on request for a £250 fee.

Not if you have exclusive hire of the venue, no. Party away!

Yes, low noise fireworks are permitted in the grounds. We kindly ask you to use our preferred firework supplier as we know and trust them.

Natural confetti (flower petals and leaves) are allowed for use anywhere in the grounds. Unfortunately, we cannot accept paper-based biodegradable confetti.

The couple receive a complimentary deluxe suite on the night of their wedding. As all of our rooms are individually styled and designed, the couple are welcome to choose their favourite. All deluxe suites have enormous super king beds, views of the gardens, an enormous bathroom with walk-in shower, claw foot bath tub, double vanity units and underfloor heating.

We are very close to Henbury Lodge, which is a short drive away and a few chain hotels - Mollies Motel, Travel Lodge, Premier Inn

Picture an intricate pergola entwined with wisteria and clematis, leading the way to Aphrodite’s Dome – a striking structure with an intricately designed dome roof. The glistening fountain, original Victorian summerhouse, orchard, tree swing and views across to Wales, offer additional backdrops for romantic photographs.

The inside is just as beautiful as out, the stunning Victoria building reflects luxury and comfort. You’ll find original wood panelling and open fires, a sweeping staircase and sparkling chandeliers. The reception room is a wonderfully bright and airy room – floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the gardens and out towards the sparkling lights of Wales beyond.

Our experienced wedding coordinator Georgia, with help from the owner Sarah, will be on hand from the very start of your journey to ensure your plans and dreams comes to life and your personality shines through. On the day itself, Rhianna will effortlessly calm your nerves and ensure the day runs smoothly, with the help of our restaurant manager and waitering team whose service is second to none.

We have amazing packages for intimate weddings. Anything for elopements for two, ceremony only days, or micro weddings for up to 30. Just ask!
