About Cheshire Woodland Weddings
Set within beautiful natural surroundings, this enchanting woodland wedding venue in offers relaxed outdoor celebrations surrounded by forest clearings, waterside views and rustic ceremony spaces. Perfect for couples searching for woodland weddings in Cheshire or unique woodland weddings UK, ceremonies take place beneath a charming thatched shelter before guests enjoy drinks, photographs and lakeside moments throughout the grounds. Located near Blakemere, it’s an idyllic setting for a wedding.
Following the ceremony, celebrations continue in the venue’s large barn, used for dining and evening receptions. The barn includes indoor and outdoor bars along with space for eating, socialising and dancing, allowing the day to transition from outdoor ceremony to indoor celebration without leaving the site.
Guest numbers can reach up to 150 during the day, with capacity increasing to 200 for the evening reception. The venue also offers the option to incorporate activities within the grounds, including archery, falconry and segways, giving couples flexibility in how the day unfolds between ceremony and evening celebrations.
On-site accommodation is available through 12 luxury glamping lodges known as Blakemere Hideaways. Sleeping between two and five guests, each lodge includes an en-suite bedroom, king-sized beds and a private hot tub, with dog-friendly options also available. The setting allows the wedding to move naturally between woodland, waterside and barn spaces, keeping the celebration contained within one outdoor-led location from ceremony through to the evening party.

Our Sustainability Commitments
We have an extensive sustainability plan in place with being an outdoor venue as we recognise the potential for this and the impact we can have. As we own 17 acres of woodland we have in place long term biodiversity projects throughout the seasons that protect the habitats - this kind of seasonal programming works with our land over working against it, such as planting year-round wildflowers and housing lots of wildlife. Our wedding season is great for quality led growth and minimising the land impact, for instance we only run weddings in summer, so we can focus on protecting the land during harsher months. We are actively trying to reduce our waste by using refillable bottles and washable or recyclable paper cups, cutlery & tableware. Our mode of transport within our grounds are golf carts which are rechargeable and produce zero tailpipe emissions, making them significantly cleaner than internal combustion engine cars. Within all our events and weddings we intend to create meaningful nature-based experiences not just for entertainment purposes. Our activities and falconry are great gateways to conservation awareness and education.
