About The Cock O'Barton
Tucked away in the Cheshire countryside, The Cock O’Barton is a warm and welcoming wedding venue where couples can celebrate their day entirely their own way. From intimate ceremonies and relaxed courtyard drinks to beautiful marquee receptions, every wedding is thoughtfully tailored to reflect the couple at its heart.
Intimate weddings are a particularly special part of what we offer. Our characterful Private Dining Room can host civil ceremonies for up to 70 guests and private wedding breakfasts for up to 40, creating a warm and personal setting for your closest family and friends.
For larger celebrations, our light-filled Barton Suite is licensed for civil ceremonies of up to 120 guests. Following the ceremony, the courtyard provides a relaxed setting for reception drinks and canapés, with views across the Cheshire countryside.
From spring through to autumn, our garden marquee can seat up to 70 guests for the wedding breakfast and welcome up to 120 for the evening celebration. Exclusive use is also available, accommodating up to 120 guests during the day and 200 in the evening.
Food is at the heart of every wedding we host. Couples work alongside our talented chefs to create a bespoke menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients, from a traditional three-course wedding breakfast to sharing dishes, barbecues and relaxed dining.
Our 14 individually designed bedrooms allow couples and their guests to stay overnight and enjoy breakfast together the following morning.
From your first viewing to your final dance, you’ll be supported by our experienced team and our Wedding Co-ordinator, winner of Best Wedding Coordinator for the North West 2026.

Terms and conditions
Available on selected dates between November 2026 and March 2027 only and subject to availability. Applies to new bookings of a full wedding package based on 35 daytime guests and 45 evening guests. All daytime guests must receive a reception drink, three-course wedding breakfast with wine and a toast drink, followed by evening food for all evening guests. Additional guests will be charged at the applicable per-person rate and remain subject to venue capacity. The 50% discount applies to the venue-hire charge only and does not apply to food, drink, accommodation or additional services. Cannot be combined with another offer or applied retrospectively to an existing booking.

Yes. Exclusive use is available Monday to Thursday throughout the year, as well as on selected Saturdays during January to March and September to November. All dates are subject to availability, so please contact our wedding team to discuss your preferred date.
We are licenced to host civil ceremonies up to 70 guests in the Private Dining room or 120 guests in the Barton Suite
If the ceremony is conducted by a Celebrant & is not the legal ceremony conducted by Cheshire West Registrars
£15.00 per bottle of wine £20.00 per bottle of prosecco or champagne
All food & drink must be pre-ordered from the Cock O'Barton menus. However, couples are welcome to source cakes, cheese towers, doughnut walls, sweet carts from third-party suppliers.
Access is not offered until the morning of the wedding therefore your wedding coordinator will arrange set up of all decor.
Last orders are at 11.30pm, with live music ending at midnight
