Set within 150 acres of Cheshire countryside, Vale Royal Abbey brings together historic architecture, expansive grounds and exclusive-use celebrations centred around a restored 16th-century manor. Weddings here take place with sole use of the venue, with only one wedding hosted each day, allowing couples full access to the house and surroundings throughout their celebration.

Ceremonies and receptions unfold across a selection of characterful rooms within the Abbey. The Great Hall forms the main celebration space, seating up to 150 guests beneath a beamed ceiling, alongside period fireplaces and views across the surrounding countryside. For smaller ceremonies or more intimate moments, The Library holds civil ceremonies for up to 120 guests and private dining for 50, offering a more enclosed setting within the historic interiors. The Lounge provides a relaxed space with its own bar and seating area, suited to informal gatherings or quieter parts of the day.

The Abbey’s countryside setting is approached via a mile-long driveway, creating a sense of arrival while remaining positioned between Chester and Knutsford. Weddings are supported by tailored catering and event planning, with flexible styling options allowing each celebration to be arranged around individual plans. Across the day, celebrations move naturally between ceremony, dining and evening reception spaces, with the grounds and historic rooms forming the backdrop for photographs and guest gatherings while maintaining exclusive use of the estate throughout.
