About The Farmhouse at Mackworth

Originally an 18th-century farmhouse, The Farmhouse at Mackworth combines period features with modern interior design following a refurbishment in 2015. The venue is situated in the village of Mackworth, close to Derby city centre and on the edge of the Peak District, offering a countryside setting with convenient access.

Private events are held in The Folly, a self-contained function room located to the rear of the main building. This dedicated space features windows that look out onto a terrace and gardens. It can hold up to 130 guests for a seated meal or up to 200 for a standing reception.

The venue is licensed for civil ceremonies, allowing for the entire day to take place on site. A wedding coordinator works with clients to plan the details, and the in-house team manages the event. Catering is provided by the kitchen, which creates menus centred around its wood-fired pizza oven and Josper oven.

For guests staying overnight, The Farmhouse at Mackworth provides ten boutique bedrooms. Options include a suite with a roll-top bath and a family suite. The wider property also includes a restaurant, bar, and beer garden, along with a car park with electric car charging.
