Ashbury Lounge is a dedicated event venue in central Bournemouth, a short walk from the seafront. One function room, one bar, one private garden … so on your day, yours is the only booking in the building. Catering is in-house, from canapés and buffets through to a full sit-down meal, and the dance floor is fixed at the centre of the room with seating around it. Ashbury Lounge is an event venue, bar and garden in central Bournemouth, a short walk from the seafront and close to the BIC.

One event at a time. There is one function room, one bar and one garden, and we take one booking at a time. No other party in the next room, no strangers at the bar … the whole place is yours for the day.

The spaces. The function room holds up to 100 standing, with a fixed dance floor at the centre and seating around it. The bar suits smaller gatherings of up to 30. The private garden takes up to 20 for a drinks reception or a BBQ, and it's a few steps from the function room, so a wet afternoon moves inside without anyone getting in a car.

Food and drink. Catering is in-house, from canapés and a stand-up buffet through to a full sit-down meal. We build the menu with you rather than handing you a card with three options on it. There's genuine flexibility for Asian and cultural weddings and for any special dietary or menu requirements … just ask.

Access and parking. The bar is step-free and there are three small steps up to the function room. There is an accessible WC. Parking is on site and paid, with public car parks a short walk away. If someone is arriving with a pushchair or needs step-free access, say so when you book and we'll plan the room around it.
