- Venue & Pricing:
The Orangery Suite is a family-run, historic Dorset venue located just a mile from Wimborne Minster. Summer pricing (valid until September 2026) includes exclusive use of the entire venue, with flexibility to choose your own catering and entertainment.
- Ceremonies & Receptions:
Host up to 85 guests for your ceremony and reception, and 120 guests for evening celebrations. Ceremony options include the landscaped lawn with a wooden pergola, the intimate sunken garden, a new willow tree area, or the bright indoor Orangery. Receptions are held in the elegant marquee, which can be styled freely and opened during summer for a relaxed atmosphere.
- Catering & Entertainment:
While The Orangery Suite doesn’t provide in-house catering, it offers a list of trusted caterers on its website, giving you full flexibility. The venue welcomes live music, DJs, and other entertainment.
- Grounds & Experience:
Enjoy the exclusive 18th-century walled garden, featuring landscaped lawns, games, and beautiful photo spots. As a DIY venue, you can personalise every aspect of your day; a wedding planner is recommended for support.
- Booking Details:
Dates can be held for 14 days, with an £800 deposit required to secure your booking. Final payment is due two months before your wedding. Winter marquee packages (October–March) are also available.

Yes. The Orangery and walled garden are not open to the public so you will have exclusive use of the venue for your wedding.
Yes, The Orangery has a licence from BCP Council for marriages and civil partnerships. A fee for the Registrar is payable directly to BCP Council.
Yes, we are licensed for outdoor ceremonies. Our wooden gazebo within the walled garden is licensed, with white chairs set up on the lawn in front of it. Most of the ceremony will be conducted in front of the gazebo, but you will step inside the structure with the Registrar and witnesses for the 'legal' bits - the vows and signing the Register.
You may supply reception drinks for your tables. They can be chilled in our fridge before the meal. We don't charge corkage, but a service charge may apply, depending on your preferred caterer.
Yes - we do make a supplementary fee if a caterer other than one of our recommended ones is used. They would have access to our kitchen.
You will have access to The Orangery and marquee from 8am on the wedding day.

Sorry, no, we don't allow confetti including table confetti, fireworks, hay bales or Chinese lanterns. Bubbles make a good alternative to confetti.

Yes, The Orangery Suite is available for hire on any day of the week.
White limewash Chivari chairs with ivory seat pads, round and rectangular tables, a cake table and white linen tablecloths are included in the venue hire price.
As of 2023 discos and live bands are now permitted at the venue. These can be arranged in the Marquee or in the Orangery Suite Room.
No - we offer an exclusive venue that can be tailored to your individual requirements.
Yes - the venue hire is cheaper on Fridays and Sundays and cheaper still on Mondays to Thursdays.
We ask for a £800 non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking; the final balance is due 1 calander month before the wedding date.
Wedding venue hire prices start from £2995, prices depend on amount of hire time & day / date.
