About Colville Hall
Colville Hall occupies acres of farmland, woodland, orchards and gardens on the site of a former medieval village in White Roding, Essex. Several timber-framed, thatched barns and a Tudor courthouse remain on the estate. These buildings and the surrounding formal lawns and ponds are part of a working farm that continues to produce crops.
Ceremonies and receptions take place in the venue’s historic barns. One barn has timber frames, bespoke chandeliers and a long window over the Essex countryside, and is licensed for civil weddings. A separate barn known as Mill Pond Barn has a timber frame dated to the 17th century, glass doors that overlook a pond and space for 200 guests for meals and dancing.
Couples have exclusive use of the barns, gardens, orchard and woodland for their celebration. Outdoor spaces include gazebos by lakes and formal garden features that can be used for photos or, if weather allows, for parts of a ceremony. Accommodation close to the barns includes The Old Dairy, a converted former dairy with ensuite bedrooms, and The Stable Block, also with ensuite rooms. A Bridal Suite is available on site. The venue’s location on Chelmsford Road places it within reach of Chelmsford and Harlow, with major road links nearby.

Absolutely, Yes the grounds will be yours without any other event running at the same time.
Colville Hall is fully licenced to hold civil weddings in our Orchard Barn and our two gazebos making an ideal outside wedding setting
Yes, weather permitting. There are two Barns available if the weather turns last minute and you nee to bring eveything inside.
We don't offer corkage but do have a fantastic selection of drinks packages for every taste and budget
Colville Hall has a partnership with Limeberry Catering to provide an exquisite dining service for your special day. Outside caterers can only be used for cultural requirements.

The Old Dairy has 4 ensuite, bedrooms, sleeps 8 and is full of character and charm. The Stable Block has 4 en-suites and sleeps 10 with 1 family room . Each property is a self contained house with kitchen and living room.
