About Vaulty Manor
Vaulty Manor sits within the Essex countryside in Goldhanger and is offered for exclusive-use weddings with historic, restored buildings and on-site accommodation. The heart of a wedding here is the 17th-century barn, a space licensed for civil ceremonies with high ceilings, oak beams and an in-house sound system.
Couples may choose to have their ceremony inside the barn or in the walled gardens under the pergola, licensed for gatherings of up to 200 guests, before moving into the Baronial Barn for a sit-down meal and evening reception.
Accommodation for the couple and guests is part of the venue’s layout. The Wedding Suite is available from the morning of the wedding with dedicated dressing area and natural light for preparations, and there are additional Courtyard Rooms and Manor House rooms to sleep guests, all with breakfast included the following day.
Vaulty Manor’s packages cover the flow of the day from ceremony through to evening celebrations, with bar facilities, tables and chairs included where appropriate. The space is arranged to allow flexibility in seating, décor and entertainment, with live music and musicians permitted. Setting weddings within garden areas as well as the barn gives couples a choice of spaces suited to different parts of the day.

"Most couples approach from the north east along the Maldon Road, coming through open countryside with a first glimpse of the venue across the fields from the east. A straight tree-lined drive leads past a pond and towards the main house to the left of the drive, with the ceremony and reception barns to the right, facing out towards the fields. When I visited there was a temporary yurt marquee in front of the pond, which is a nice addition for summer weddings. For weekend weddings, I loved the cleverly communal layout of the accommodation which is in individual units immediately beyond the venue, some of which is set around a courtyard and the rest with direct access to the parking area. "
