About Vaulty Manor

Vaulty Manor is not just a beautiful manor house, able to accommodate your nearest and dearest, but also an historic converted wedding barn. This is the perfect venue of choice for hosting your wedding day in one place.

You will have exclusive use of the site, including the stunning gardens, for your big day. There is plenty of space for you and your guests from the manor house, to the Essex barn and the Baronial Hall.

Fully licensed to hold civil ceremonies in the barn, you can have either an indoor or outdoor ceremony to start your lives together.

Located just 20 minutes away from Chelmsford, just a stone's throw from the River Blackwater, Vaulty Manor is in a convenient location for you and your guests. In the idyllic Essex countryside, this venue is perfect for feeling the peaceful seclusion of the countryside whilst still being within a short distance of Chelmsford.

The manor house can accommodate up to 10 with additional rooms available in the Courtyard. Meaning those who travel from further afar, can rest their head after partying the night away.

The Expert's View

"Most couples approach from the north east along the Maldon Road, coming through open countryside with a first glimpse of the venue across the fields from the east. A straight tree-lined drive leads past a pond and towards the main house to the left of the drive, with the ceremony and reception barns to the right, facing out towards the fields. When I visited there was a temporary yurt marquee in front of the pond, which is a nice addition for summer weddings. For weekend weddings, I loved the cleverly communal layout of the accommodation which is in individual units immediately beyond the venue, some of which is set around a courtyard and the rest with direct access to the parking area. "
