Nestled in the heart of the historic market town of Waltham Abbey, our magnificent Town Hall. Exchange your vows in our stunning main chamber, a space imbued with character and dignity. Waltham Abbey Town Council offers three licensed venues for weddings and civil ceremonies: The James Suite, The Council Chamber, and The Cornmill Suite. Following your service, the venue offers versatile and sophisticated spaces perfect for celebrating with your loved ones.

With its ornate architectural features, high ceilings, and abundant natural light, it provides a breathtaking setting for the most important moment of your lives. The room’s inherent charm creates an atmosphere of romance and occasion, ensuring an unforgettable ceremony for you and your guests.

The James Suite is our dedicated Community Ceremony Room, recently refurbished to provide a bright and welcoming atmosphere. It can accommodate up to 50 guests, making it an ideal choice for smaller wedding ceremonies and civil partnerships. The room shown with the grey chairs is the James Suite.

The Council Chamber is a charming first-floor ceremony room with stunning views overlooking Waltham Abbey Church. As an Approved Premises Room, it offers a traditional and elegant setting for your special day and can host up to 38 guests. The room shown with the red chairs is the Council Chamber.

The Cornmill Suite, located within the Town Hall, is our largest licensed wedding venue and can accommodate up to 200 guests, making it perfect for larger ceremonies and celebrations.
