About Chadkirk Chapel
Set within the grounds of Chadkirk Country Estate, Chadkirk Chapel offers a historic setting surrounded by gardens and woodland, creating a quiet and secluded atmosphere for wedding ceremonies. The restored Grade II* listed chapel dates back to 1307 and forms part of Stockport Events’ collection of Venues of Distinction.
Civil ceremonies take place inside the chapel itself, which holds up to 80 guests. The space is prepared for the ceremony with background music facilities included, and a dedicated wedding co-ordinator liaises with the registrar to support arrangements on the day. Following the ceremony, couples and guests can move outside into the estate grounds for drinks receptions and canapés.
For those planning a full day of celebrations, the surrounding lawns allow weddings to continue beyond the ceremony. Wedding breakfasts and evening receptions can be hosted in a marquee or tipi within the Chadkirk Estate, keeping celebrations together in one location while making use of the outdoor setting.
Planning support forms part of the experience, with couples meeting their wedding co-ordinator after booking to begin organising the details of the day. Chadkirk Chapel combines a historic ceremony space with the flexibility to extend celebrations into the estate grounds, allowing ceremonies and receptions to unfold across both the chapel and its surrounding landscape.
