About Homme House
Privately owned and family run set in 200 acres of beautiful rural Herefordshire. With no corkage, flexible catering & accommodation for up to 34 guests. Licensed for indoor and garden civil weddings with a church situated on the edge of the Estate.
Homme House is a peaceful country house in rural Much Marcle on the Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire borders. The 5 acres of beautiful gardens are surrounded by a further 180 acres of traditional woodland and parkland, through which a lime tree lined private driveway leads to the house.
Homme offers couples exclusive use of all the main reception rooms, accommodation and surrounding gardens for the days leading up to their wedding, and couples are encouraged to use Homme as theirs. The approach is very flexible, with no prescribed suppliers but as much support, advice and recommendations as needed to help prepare for a perfect day. Homme House does not charge corkage.
The house is licensed for civil ceremonies, as is the beautiful 17th century Summerhouse in Homme’s walled garden. For church weddings St. Bartholomew’s Church lies on the edge of the estate and is available to couples not resident in the parish.
Up to 80 can be accommodated for a wedding breakfast in the house or up to 120 in a lawn marquee connected directly to the house, with a maximum of 120 guests at the evening celebrations.
The spacious lawn is an ideal area for reception drinks and croquet. It is surrounded by further spaces to explore, including rose garden, bog garden and walled garden with traditional orchards and wild flower meadow.
Homme offers overnight accommodation for up to 34 guests, with a stunning Bridal Suite and 8 other bedrooms in the main house, and a further 4 double bedrooms in Homme’s old Coach House, which also has its own kitchen, living room and courtyard garden. Homme’s unique and picturesque 17th century Summerhouse at the top of the walled garden is also available as a romantic overnight stay for 2 from May to September.
Homme is available for weekend weddings as well as more intimate sustainability-focused midweek wedding celebrations on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with venue hire from just £5500 inc. VAT

FAQs
We offer couples exclusive use of all our main reception rooms and 5 acres of gardens from 9:30am on Friday so that you can take your time over preparations, and until 12.30pm on Sunday so that you can enjoy a leisurely start to married life!
Our Dining Room (max. 110) and Panelled Room (max. 80) are both licensed for a civil ceremony inside the house, with beautiful period features and full length bay windows overlooking the gardens and parkland beyond.
Our 17th century Summerhouse offers a unique backdrop for a Walled Garden ceremony, with the signing of the marriage schedule possible either outside or in the Summerhouse itself. Garden ceremonies are also possible on the lawn with the background of the parkland or acer glade. We always provide an indoor backup in case of poor weather.
We do not charge corkage and will chill any drinks that you would like to source for the wedding at no extra cost. If you would like a pay bar for the day or the evening we have a preferred supplier, Riverbank Bars, who charge a flat fee of £100 to set up, equip and staff the bar, and charge Herefordshire pub prices.
9.30am on Friday for a Saturday wedding. 3pm on the previous day for a Tuesday/Wednesday wedding
We have a Premises Licence for music and dancing (until 11:45pm), and the sale of alcohol (until 11:30pm), but a condition imposed upon us by Herefordshire Council requires that all guests not staying overnight depart Homme House at 12.00am.
We do not have a noise limiter at Homme, we simply ask that the volume level of a performance is reasonable so that guests can enjoy themselves both on and off the dance floor.
For the consideration of our neighbours and livestock on the Estate and nearby we do not allow fireworks at Homme.
We are very happy for confetti to be thrown providing it is made of natural petals and is light in colour (dark colours stain the floors and upholstery). Unfortunately we are not able to permit the use of non-biodegradable confetti, biodegradable paper confetti or confetti cannons.
You are welcome to use candles in the dining room or marquee (as well as in the garden) providing they are safely contained within heatproof containers. They will be extinguished at the end of the meal.
We have a suite that can be used for accommodation and/or preparations on the night before and/or after the wedding. The suite comprises an ensuite bedroom and drawing room.
We offer accommodation for up to a maximum of 34 guests in 3 spaces - the Main House, Coach House and Summerhouse. All the accommodation is reserved for exclusive allocation by the wedding couple, and there is no obligation to use all or any of the guest rooms.
There are a number of good hotels and bed & breakfast establishments close to Homme House, including a Premier Inn 5 miles away.

We strongly believe that a ‘sustainable wedding’ needn’t mean compromise, rather that the decisions at the heart of a more sustainable wedding – quality over quantity, mindful, considered choices, celebrating the natural, local and seasonal – can enhance the uniquely special nature of a wedding celebration, and the positive impact it can have in the world. If a small but perfectly formed sustainable wedding appeals, we have designed a midweek offering with sustainability in mind.
