About The Globe at Hay

The Globe at Hay is a unique and magical space in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, the famed book town on the edge of the Black Mountains. Situated within a beautiful converted Methodist chapel, The Globe is the perfect wedding venue for a truly unique celebration. Combining elegant Georgian architecture, creative charm and truly flexible spaces, it's a wedding venue unlike any other.

However you imagine your day, The Globe provides the perfect setting from beginning to end. Exchange your vows in our elegant Main Hall, framed by its double height ceiling and original pulpit, or in our picturesque Globe Gardens overlooking the Welsh countryside, before continuing with dining, drinks and dancing across our beautiful venue. The Main Hall seamlessly transforms from a ceremony space to your wedding breakfast and evening reception; with the Upper Gallery offering additional seating with a unique bird's-eye view. For more intimate gatherings, the characterful Lower Gallery, with its original flagstone floor, provides the perfect setting for relaxed dining, evening entertainment and dancing long into the night.
Our talented in-house chefs create bespoke menus using the finest seasonal ingredients, many sourced directly from our own 100-acre farm in the Welsh mountains. From elegant three-course feasts to relaxed sharing boards and barbecues, every menu is thoughtfully designed around your celebration.
Complete your wedding weekend with accommodation on the doorstep of your venue. Our two charming self-catering cottages, Smallbrook and Southwick, each sleep up to twelve guests and provide the perfect place to relax, get ready and enjoy time with your closest family and friends.
From intimate ceremonies to unforgettable celebrations, our dedicated wedding team will help bring your vision to life, creating a wedding that's as unique as your love story.
