About Monks Barn at Ashridge House
Monks Barn at Ashridge House sits within the extensive grounds of a historic former royal estate in Hertfordshire. The venue combines a restored barn with light, versatile interiors and outdoor spaces around Monks Garden, offering a setting for weddings of up to 100 guests.
Couples can choose how to sequence their day across several distinctive spaces. A civil ceremony can take place in the Victorian Fernery, which benefits from natural light, before guests move to Monks Garden for drinks. The barn itself, with its timber structure and contemporary feel, is used for the wedding breakfast and evening celebrations. Just outside, a stretch tent provides an open-air area adjacent to the barn facade. From 2026, the Coach House will also be available as an additional light-filled space for ceremonies, meals, and dancing.
Packages include a three-course meal, wine and toast drinks, and a drinks reception. Tables, oak chairs, linens, tableware and signage are provided, and a complimentary superior suite is reserved for the couple on their wedding night. A dedicated wedding coordinator from the Ashridge House team supports planning and execution.
