Sutton Bonington Hall is a Grade II* Queen Anne country house in the East Midlands, close to Loughborough and on the borders of Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The house stands within formal gardens that couples and their guests have exclusively for their day, and it continues to be a family home with a history that spans centuries.
Civil wedding ceremonies can be held at the venue, with spaces licensed for up to around 80 guests. The Drawing Room is a principal indoor space, with glass doors and traditional detailing, and the gardens are also used for ceremonies. For smaller gatherings, the Library or Dining Room are available for intimate ceremonies.
Receptions unfold across a range of rooms within the house. The Conservatory serves as the main space for the wedding breakfast with views over the gardens and can extend into the adjoining Drawing Room to increase capacity. The Dining Room accommodates smaller meals, and the Drawing Room becomes the focus for evening celebrations, where music and dancing take place. Outside, the formal gardens offer space for drinks, mingling and photography.
Catering is delivered by the venue’s trusted partners, who work with couples to tailor menus and meet dietary needs. Sutton Bonington Hall operates as a no-corkage venue, so couples may bring their own alcoholic drinks for the reception and wedding breakfast without additional charge, with a cash bar provided for the evening. Six bedrooms at the Hall can accommodate up to 12 guests overnight, with additional hotels and guest houses nearby.
