Built in 1886 our hotel truly is an Edinburgh landmark. Character and features are proudly displayed throughout this Victorian building, in our distinctive corner towers, stained glass windows and original ceiling cornicing.

Braid Hills Hotel is a premier wedding venue on the south side of the city centre, offering fantastic city views, ample free parking and yet only minutes from the city bypass. We can accommodate your entire ​wedding or event on-site including overnight accommodation for your guests in one of our 71 refurbished bedrooms.

We have wedding suites to suite all sizes for your wedding breakfast. Our team will go through your ideas on entertainment, chair covers, centre pieces, place settings and favours offering suggestions and recommendations. Our suites are also filled with alcoves and extra lighting, the perfect addition to your colour scheme.

Your meal will be specially selected and taste tested by your prior to the day so that you can be sure your guests will love each course.

We are delighted to be able to host religious, humanist and civil ceremonies/partnerships within our suites from 10-120 guests.
For that extra special touch when the Scottish weather allows you can enjoy a ceremony with castle, city and Forth views from our spacious decking.

With our check-board dance floor and range of recommended live bands and DJ’s you can ensure a real celebration for your evening with friends and family.
