Set within the Norfolk countryside just north of Norwich, The Old Rectory Hotel brings together wedding ceremonies, receptions and guest accommodation in one place. A conservatory restaurant with a high vaulted ceiling and views over the gardens is licensed for civil ceremonies and is used for wedding breakfasts and evening celebrations.
This space can seat up to 110 guests for a meal and, with its built-in sound system, acoustic ceiling and central dance floor, can hold up to 150 people informally. For smaller gatherings, the Victoriana suite offers a more intimate setting for up to 60 guests.
Couples who choose to marry here have exclusive use of the venue for their day under the hotel’s one-wedding policy. Gardens of more than three acres surround the reception spaces, with features such as a pergola, gazebo and fountain contributing to photographic opportunities. The conservatory and its direct patio access create a connection between indoor and outdoor areas.
Bespoke menus and drink options are arranged with the venue’s catering team, drawing on the hotel’s experience in weddings and receptions. An experienced wedding coordinator supports planning from timings and room layout through to detailed decisions on menus and décor, and a wedding butler helps manage the flow of the day itself. There are 16 en-suite bedrooms on site, and the newlyweds receive a complimentary deluxe room. Guests staying at the hotel can also make use of the landscaped gardens.
