The Kings Arms Hotel in Berwick-upon-Tweed makes its upstairs Assembly Rooms available for weddings and events, with light from two large side windows filling the space and seating for up to 140 guests. Through an internal passage, the Assembly Rooms lead to a private bar with a solid oak bar, room for evening dancing, an ornamental chandelier and a Juliet balcony above a bookcase holding Charles Dickens first editions.

Smaller gatherings can take place in the Dickens Suite, a room used for intimate weddings or private celebrations up to the size that space allows. If couples want to hold their legal ceremony at the venue, they must arrange attendance of the Superintendent Registrar through Northumberland Council. The Kings Arms sits on Hide Hill in the centre of Berwick-upon-Tweed, with its hotel accommodation, restaurant and bars providing facilities for guests before and after the event. Weddings and events at the hotel are handled via direct enquiry to the venue’s events team.
